
Adrian Avila Leon is a Psychotherapist specialized in Marital and Family Therapy licensed with a philosophy of doctorate. Has been in private practice for more than four years directing Harmonic Development, a psychotherapy and consulting group practice.
Dr. Avila has been in the therapy field for more than 20 years, graduating with a master’s degree in 2007 from the University of San Diego, and Ph.D. in 2016. He has also taught several courses at the graduate level in several universities in San Diego.
Dr. Avila approach to psychotherapy is based in the humanistic-experiential tradition as a student of Dr. Claudio Naranjo. Currently focusing on the treatment of individuals, couples and families and veterans. Lately, he conducts assessment and evaluations for aspiring members of the Diocese of San Diego, either seminary or deaconates.
Dr. Avila also has a special interest in clinical supervision, assessment-testing, and evaluation. He is currently developing a truly reliable and valid enneagram test.

Jacqueline E. Kirchner is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, who received her master’s degree from National University in 2018. She has over 5 years of experience working with children, families, individuals, and couples.
Jacqueline has both worked at Harmonic Development and with children in a school based therapy program for the past 4 years. Jacqueline’s approach to therapy is both through a CBT and Person-Centered lens. Her current focus is on working with veterans and couples.

Karely Garcia is a bilingual, Spanish-speaking, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who obtained her Master’s degree in Marital and Family therapy from Bethel University of San Diego in 2020. Karely has been in private practice for more than three years working and specializing in the treatment of Trauma, Substance Abuse, Relationship Issues, Domestic Violence and Victims of Domestic Violence. Karely is EMDR certified; an effective form of psychotherapy for treating trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Karely is committed to helping clients resolve old, unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving from a collaborative, strength-based approach that helps clients discover their personal strengths.

Melissa Lee is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2023 from Touro University Worldwide.
Melissa is a Marine Corps Veteran, and is married to a Marine Corps combat Veteran. She has served Veterans for over 10 years, through various volunteering positions with veteran suicide prevention non profit organizations. Her clinical focus is Veterans and their families. She also specializes in working with grief. She is also fully trained in UCLA’s Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS) model.

I have worked with a wide range of populations, from children as young as two, to couples, to those experiencing deep grief and loss.
I have a special interest in working with relationships, and am trained in one of the most effective couple’s theories in the world, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). In addition to my work with children, families, and couples – I have experience with patient advocacy and have worked under Andrew L. Chang.
Along with my professional experience, my empathy, open-mindedness, cultural awareness, and appropriate boundaries demonstrates the qualities I look forward to bringing to your counseling.
Winnie is a recent graduate from the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Bethel Seminary San Diego. She is trained in trauma-focused therapy (EMDR), couples focused therapy (EFT), and well as child-focused therapy (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy). In addition, as an award winning volunteer in the community with the Boy Scouts of America, PTA (Parent Teachers Association), Mothers of Preschoolers, Moms in Prayer, demonstrates my responsibility, dedication, and leadership skills.
